Originally launched to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Roy family factory, established in 1818 by my great-great-grandfather Abraham-Henry Roy (1774-1850) and after the success of our Coeur Ouvert® Nouvelle Vague V2, we decided to produce a limited edition of only 36 pieces symbolically corresponding to the bicentenary of "1818"

The caliber is fully cut out and transparent. This is unusual, as most skeleton chronographs only have the upper plate cut out. It's important to note here that a fully cut-out chronograph caliber, produced in very small series,
costs about four times more to produce a similar chronograph where only the upper plate is cut out, which makes our Coeur Ouvert® Chronograph particularly competitive.
This exceptional timepiece houses a Valjoux automatic chronograph caliber, prepared, modified, cut, and treated with black ruthenium by craftsmen in the Vallée de Joux. This caliber features four subdials, including the date on a small subdial at three o'clock. It is entirely skeletonized, in the same spirit as the Cœur Ouvert Nouvelle Vague V2.3. The small seconds hand appears to float, the circular subdial having been intentionally omitted to maximize the view of the transparent caliber with its unique wave-like cutouts.
The Coeur Ouvert® Chronograph is now available in four versions, two different cases and two different dials:
In terms of cases, the V2 "Dome" is equipped with a sapphire glass with reinforced anti-reflective treatment and the V1 is equipped with a flat glass also anti-reflective.
On the dial side, the black flange blends into the waves of the cut-out movement, and the anthracite flange stands out from the movement, giving it a "3D" appearance.

The V1 version, whose flat, highly anti-reflective glass gives it a more "surgical" look, is presented further down this page.

Flat Anti-reflective sapphire crystal
The most openwork and cut-out dial on the watch market is a registered design!
The design of the openwork dial or exclusive "rehaut" has been registered with the INPI, the French National Institute of Industrial Property. Its very specific cut is very openwork at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock and leaves the small seconds hand floating!

This second cut-out dial is proposed for this iconic model, different from and yet similar to the black dial.

On this second version, the "Anthracite" colored flange is brushed and stands out clearly against the black movement cutout, giving the model a 3D effect! The chronograph functions are more visible, whereas on the "Black" flange version, the skeleton cutout is more prominent... a matter of taste!

Steel bracelets
Compatible with all our models, we offer three types of 316L stainless steel bracelets.
The first one is made of hand-brushed steel and features the famous "Milanese" mesh!
The second one features a large rectangular central link.
The third one has three thin alternating links.
These bracelets are easily interchangeable.
The prices of watches equipped in this way are the same as those with a rubber or leather strap.

Checkered rubber: black, anthracite, anthracite-bronze, blue, burgundy...
For most of our bracelet models, we stock three lengths:
S: 105/65mm for a wrist circumference between 14.5 and 16.5cm
M: 115/75mm for wrist circumference between 16.5 and 18.5cm
L: 125/85mm for wrist circumference between 18.5 and 20.5cm
For any other length, a bracelet can be custom-made and in any type of leather, cordura or checkered rubber...
Standard box
The standard boxes are made of "taupe" colored synthetic leather, delivered with an outer box.
Designed to house a watch, they are a reasonable size (11cm x 11cm x 9.5cm)
This case comes standard with our watches.
