The very high-level automatic caliber that equips this Coeur Ouvert® 120H and all our 120H models is the result of a cooperation with the independent manufacture Technotime which became MHVJ, "La Manufacture Horlogère de la Vallée de Joux", the high-end watchmaking division of the Swiss watchmaking group Soprod.

This high-end MHVJ caliber, which powers our 120-Hour model, is no longer in production or is only manufactured in very large quantities due to its very high production cost. It is therefore a collector's item, and we only have a few pieces left in stock! So don't wait any more, prices are about to explode!

This caliber offers exceptional features, detailed below:

Swiss-made automatic mechanical lever movement, 13 1/4 diameter, 43 jewels;
Spiral Elinvar, manufactured by Soprod-Technotime;
Double barrel;
Guaranteed power reserve of 120 hours (between 136 and 143 nominal hours) at a frequency of 28800 A/h;
Centered hour, minute and second;
Stop second;
Unidirectional automatic winding;
Power reserve indicator displayed on the dial at 5 o'clock.
Retrograde date display at 2 o'clock;
“Coeur Ouvert®” centered at 9 AM.

Our exclusive Fréret Roy 1818 case, crafted from hand-satin-finished steel, was designed specifically for this model. Its slender bezel is very much in vogue, and an elegant, elongated crown guard adds to its originality. At less than 12.60 mm thick, the watch is remarkably slim given its complications and its very high power reserve. The flat sapphire crystal is anti-reflective, and the transparent case back allows one to admire the caliber’s meticulously finished decoration on both sides. Its specific oscillating weight, decorated with circular Côtes de Genève, is treated with black DLC, and the brand name “Fréret Roy 1818” is engraved in 18-karat fine gold.

"Grand Coeur Ouvert® Noir"...

Why "Grand"? Because the movement is totally visible, like in the former "Phantom"!

After the "Grand Coeur Ouvert® Fantôme", the "Grand Coeur Ouvert® 120 H Noir" now features a brushed "gunmetal" coloured open dial which contrasts with the rhodium-plated silver-capped decoration of the caliber and makes it even more prominent.

This is the "ultimate" series of our last five available movements of this exceptional caliber which is no longer manufactured in small series for independent watchmakers like us, its production price being too high.

The tone-on-tone "fade-in" of the "Phantom" version, where movement and flange merged, is replaced by the powerful contrast between the silver rhodium-plated decoration of the movement and the intense black of the dial, whose retrograde date and power reserve arches stand out harmoniously above the plate, highlighting the magnificent rounding of the decorated plate of the MHVJ caliber for Fréret-Roy 1818.

This watch has the unique feature of symmetrical asymmetry!

The Coeur Ouvert® (a registered trademark belonging to us since 1999!) is perfectly centered at 9 o'clock - its heart is indeed on the left - While the arches of the two complications – the retrograde date and the power reserve – are placed in almost perfect vertical symmetry on the right side of the movement and dial, creating a kind of symmetry within asymmetry, the triangle unfolds from left to right.

The finely decorated 120-hour manufacture caliber is revealed in its entirety, allowing you to admire both its front and back, in a version where the hours are symbolized by hand-filled capsules of Super-LumiNova.® Just like the brand logo at 12 o'clock, whose color matches the hands. The white lettering now stands out against the brushed gunmetal finish and is very legible, as are the secondary hands for the Power Reserve and Retrograde Date.

Bracelets made of alligator, crocodile, caiman, shagreen, leather in various skins or rubber bracelets, black or colored.

Alligator: black, grey, navy blue, royal blue, dark brown, medium brown, light brown or gold...

Checkered rubber: black, anthracite, anthracite-bronze, blue, burgundy...

For most of our bracelet models, we have stock in three lengths:

S: 105/65mm for a wrist circumference between 14.5 and 16.5cm

M: 115/75mm for wrist circumference between 16.5 and 18.5cm

L: 125/85mm for wrist circumference between 18.5 and 20.5cm

For any other length, a bracelet can be custom-made and in any type of leather, cordura or checkered rubber...

Why "Grand"? Because the movement is fully visible, and "Phantom" because the writing blends into the completely cut-out dial...

We started with an observation: the majority, if not all, of "ghost" watches are black or very black, obscure... Our ghost, as in popular imagery, is "white".

Unique in its kind, this Grand Coeur Ouvert Fantôme is a tribute - in the best sense of the word - to the automotive dashboards of the "golden age", the Bugatti 35, Morgan, Lotus Seven, Bentley, Morgan and other Amilcar or Jaguar E. As for modern cars, the aluminum finish of the dashboard of certain Aston Martin Vantage and the latest Bentley Flying Spur model is strikingly similar to the decoration of our caliber.

The mechanical aspect of this watch is brought to its peak by the metallic and mechanical look that is presented to the eyes of those who contemplate it... and acquire it. A famous monarch has recently acquired it.

The exquisitely decorated 120-hour in-house caliber is now fully revealed, allowing you to admire both its front and back. In this version, the hours are indicated by hand-filled Super-LumiNova dots in a color that matches the hands. The white lettering blends seamlessly into the hand-satin-finished, rhodium-plated silver metal, yet remains sufficiently legible to maintain full functionality, as do the secondary hands for the power reserve and retrograde date. Finally, this model now features new, fully luminescent hour and minute hands, offering enhanced readability in all lighting conditions.
