Skeleton caliber and rehaut of the CONV.2.3!
We are pleased to present our Coeur Ouvert® Saphir watch which will be equipped with our skeleton caliber featuring our new exclusive cut, first introduced with the Coeur Ouvert® Nouvelle Vague V2.3.

The dial features a cutout, inspired by that of the Coeur Ouvert® Tourbillon where the logo resembling the Roman numeral "III" is positioned at 3 o'clock. The small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock has been suppressed, allowing the small second to "float on the wave" of the movement! We have made this flange as thin as possible so that it hides as little as possible the Unitas 6498 movement's cut-out.
The brand’s “III” logo, positioned at 3 o’clock, has become the visual signature of our Skeleton models, which we market under the trademarked name Coeur Ouvert®, registered in 1999. The new hour markers, logo, and hands are coated with blue Superluminova®, giving this dial a unique character.
The base caliber is still a genuine, original Unitas 6498 with a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock. This caliber is quite difficult to find because few are produced. Most movements of this type on the market are “6497” models with the small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock, a layout that does not appeal to us. We purchased a series of complete Unitas movements and commissioned independent workshops in La Chaux-de-Fonds to work on them. We first redesigned the cutout of the balance spring bridge, which now features the movement’s “wave” pattern, and this new design has been registered with the INPI.
Our Coeur Ouvert® Saphir features a 46mm diameter sapphire case designed to ensure the rigidity of the whole case, but the overall lug-to-lug length of the watch of 54.53mm remains fairly close to that of the steel model which is 50.33mm.
As with our other models, the watches are delivered with a choice of a handmade EVA (rubber) or full-skin alligator strap, with a hand-satin-finished steel folding clasp featuring our hand-engraved logo.
